Sail Into Something Memorable ⛵️
Some plans just feel a little more cinematic than others.
Like climbing aboard a luxury sailing ketch in Greenport Harbor, uncorking a bottle from your favorite North Fork vineyard, and spending the next few hours gliding past waterfront homes, quiet coves, and open Bay views while the rest of the world slows down for a minute.
That’s the Sail NoFo experience.
Operating out of historic Greenport Harbor, Sail NoFo offers private sailing adventures ranging from afternoon cruises to peaceful sunset sails, all led by a trained and licensed crew that make the entire experience feel both elevated and completely laid back.
There’s locally sourced light fare, plenty of room to unwind, and yes, the kind of sunset views that make everyone suddenly stop talking for a second.
And if you’ve ever wanted to do more than just sit back with a drink in hand, Sail NoFo also offers hands-on sailing instruction for those looking to sharpen their skills beyond the Bay.
For more information or to book a cruise, visit SailNoFo.com or call 631.906.8937.

The Lowdown
New Chef 🧑🍳
The kitchen at Greenport’s waterfront favorite, The Shipyard, has a familiar face behind the line with Chef Matt Murphy.
Murphy has already been putting his stamp on the menu, introducing more seasonal specials built around what’s fresh and local.
His cooking style draws Mediterranean and Provençal, shaped by years spent in acclaimed New York City kitchens and reinforced by decades of relationships with North Fork fishermen and farmers.
He works closely with local suppliers including Southold Fish Market and Latham Farm, bringing a distinctly local touch to the waterfront restaurant.

Storm Packs A Punch ⛈️
The North Fork’s Fourth of July celebration took an unexpected turn Saturday night when a powerful lightning storm rolled in shortly after the fireworks, bringing high winds, torrential rain, and widespread damage across the region.
With roughly a dozen trees downed and roads closed due to fallen limbs and live wires. Highway crews worked until 4 AM clearing debris, with cleanup costs already estimated at around $10,000.
Further west, saw even more significant damage. Highway Superintendent Mike Zaleski described the storm as hitting “like a tornado,” leaving behind about 50 downed trees and large limbs. ($)
