Remembering Dr. Peter Sultan ❤️
Heartbreaking news out of Jamesport this week, Dr. Peter Sultan, a beloved orthopedic surgeon at Peconic Bay Medical Center, passed away Sunday morning after collapsing during the Jamesport Triathlon. He was 54.
Dr. Sultan spent the last 20 years fixing hips, knees, and lives at PBMC. He wasn’t just good, he was one of the best on Long Island.
He was kind. He was calm. He believed in doing what was right for his patients, even if that meant not doing surgery.
His colleagues are gutted. The hospital feels different now. Quieter. He touched thousands of lives, and this week, the community is feeling that loss in a very real way.
Dr. Sultan leaves behind two teenage children, who coworkers say were his everything.

Artists of Peconic Landing 🎨
Peconic Landing might be a retirement community, but don’t let that fool you, it’s also an art colony in disguise.
This weekend, they’re throwing open the doors of Brecknock Hall for their second annual Art Show & Sale, and it’s packed with work from 17 insanely talented residents and staff.
We’re talking everything from embroidered Catholic school scenes, to moody fog-soaked harbor shots, to pastel landscapes so peaceful they might lower your blood pressure.
Resident Carol DeVito is running the show again this year, and half the proceeds go to the Brecknock Hall Foundation, so yes, you can support local artists and help preserve a historic mansion. Win-win.
