The Lowdown
Work Hard, Play Hard 💪👶🎨
Two North Fork faves, Stroller Strong Mamas and Little Moments Little Fam, just made it official. They’ve teamed up to launch The Heart of It, a brand-new community haven in Aquebogue where parents can break a sweat and kids can get messy (in the most creative way possible).
It all started back in fall 2023 with a few collab events that took off faster than toddlers after snack time. Fast forward to this year, founders Rachel Goodale and Amelia Little locked down the perfect space, and boom, The Heart of It was born.
Now? It’s the go-to spot for mama workouts, sensory play sessions, art classes, birthday parties, and a whole lot of community magic.

Big Bites & Big Bucks 🍅💵
East End Food just scored a $5 million win from New York State (cue the confetti). That cash is going straight toward turning their dream into a delicious reality: a permanent home for all things local food.
The future East End Food Hub, at 139 Main Road near the Aquebogue line, isn’t just another farmers market. It’s a year-round local food HQ, complete with a shared commercial kitchen, storage and distribution center, and even workforce training programs. Think of it as Hogwarts for foodies, but with more kale.
Executive Director Marci Moreau says this grant cements their mission to support local farmers, makers, and families. Plus, it means more farm-to-school meals and better-stocked food pantries across the East End.

Tuckers Take Over 🥍
The MGS girls lacrosse team (that’s Mattituck/Greenport/Southold, but you knew that) handed Center Moriches a 19–6 reminder of who runs Suffolk Class D.
The Red Devils scored first. That was cute. Then the Tuckers rattled off goals like it was a highlight reel, Page Kellershon put up six goals and two assists, Claire McKenzie added four goals and three assists, and goalie Emily Manwaring shut the door with six big saves, including a penalty shot stop that crushed any hopes of a CM comeback.
Coach Logan McGinn was all praise and pumped for what’s next: a county final rematch with Babylon on May 31. Yes, that Babylon. The defending champs. ($)
