After nearly a decade of bringing bold, thought-provoking art to the North Fork, VSOP Projects is preparing to close its Greenport gallery and head north. Founder and director Jonathan Weiskopf announced this week that heāll relocate the gallery to the Hudson Valley in 2026.
Before he goes, heās throwing one last party, a final group exhibition opening November 15, featuring a tight circle of local artists whoāve shaped VSOPās story from the start. The gallery will stay open through the end of the year for weekend viewings, open houses, and by appointment.

Front Street Falls Into the Spotlight š
Front Street just made a national ābest ofā list.
Greenportās charming main drag ranked No. 36 on MarketBeatās Top 125 Main Streets for Fall Shopping in 2025, joining just two other New York contenders: Beaconās Main Street (No. 22) and Rochesterās Park Avenue, which snagged the top spot.
MarketBeatās write-up reads: āFront Street in Greenport carries a maritime calm through autumnās chill. Burtonās Bookstore features a carefully curated selection of fiction and nonfiction, while Aldoās Coffee Company serves house-roasted brews beside the harborās still water.ā
They also gave props to the signature fall scene, pumpkins and mums lining the brick sidewalks, sailboats bobbing in the bay, and locals wandering between bakeries, galleries, and cozy coffee shops once the summer crowds fade.
