Summer Tastes Better at Little Fish š
There are certain foods that just taste better by the water.
Maybe it's the salt air. Maybe it's the extra hour of daylight. Or maybe it's the fact that once summer starts creeping in, nobody wants to be anywhere else.
At Little Fish, beachside season is fully on.
The outdoor tables are back in rhythm, live music drifts through the evening air, and the menu is made for long evenings by the Beach.
Start with local oysters topped with charred pineapple relish. Add an order of day boat catch ceviche with homemade tortilla chips. Then try not to fight over the last spicy tuna tartare taquito.
Add a cold drink, a few friends, and a sunset over the water, and you've got yourself a picture perfect day.
Summer hours have officially arrived:
⢠Lunch 7 Days a Week (12ā3 PM)
⢠Dinner 7 Days a Week (5ā9 PM)
⢠Friday & Saturday Dinner Extended Until 10 PM
More sunsets. More beach dinners. More reasons to grab a table outside.
Live music this week:
- Wednesday: George Tebbitt 6-9 PM
- Friday: Gene Casey 6-9 PM
- Saturday: Frank Palmeri 6-9 PM
Reservations are live at littlefishnofo.com or by calling (631) 765-8756
See you at the beach!

The Lowdown
Stereo East End š½
Chef Cheo Avila is back in Greenport, but not with a reboot of his former restaurant. This time, heās teaming up with partner chef Ai Ito to launch Stereo East End, at 110 Front Street.
The concept pulls inspiration from the duoās travels through places like Japan, Brazil, Costa Rica and Colombia, along with years of collaborating on pop ups and restaurant projects together.
The menu is contemporary and intentionally avoids sticking to one culinary lane.
The name āStereoā is a nod to the restaurantās two chef partnership, just like a stereo needs two speakers, this concept is built around two creative voices working together.

Southoldās New Clock š°
A new clock now stands at Silversmithās Corner in Southold, but the real story isnāt about telling time. Itās about honoring the people who helped shape the community.
The clock was donated to the Town of Southold by the Southold Rotary Club in memory of Burt and Cynthia Lewis.
The project was originally envisioned by longtime Rotarian Paulette Ofrias, who passed away before seeing it completed. Fellow Rotarians carried the effort forward, unveiling the clock Thursday at one of Southoldās busiest and most historic intersections.
For the Lewis family, the dedication is deeply personal. Burt and Cynthia met in Peconic as young neighbors spending summers on the North Fork. Sailing, farm stands, family gatherings and waterfront weekends became lifelong traditions that kept pulling them back to the area.

Greenportās New Village Administrator š
After more than two years without a permanent Village Administrator, Greenport has filled one of its most important positions with local resident Jenna Butler Esposito.
For a village of just a few thousand people, the job comes with a long list of responsibilities. The administrator helps oversee everything from the electric and sewer plants to Mitchell Park Marina, the carousel, mini-railroad, beaches, parks, roads and more.
Her first weeks have been spent learning the village from the ground up, mapping drainage systems, understanding utility infrastructure and meeting with department heads. As she put it, before making improvements, she needs to know exactly how everything works.
Looking ahead, she plans to focus on long term planning, grant funding, infrastructure projects and improving communication with residents. Among the items on her list are updates to Greenport's waterfront revitalization plan, sewer plant upgrades and expanding the village's digital presence through newsletters and social media.

Sturgeon Washes Ashore š
Beachgoers at Bailie Beach came across an unusual discovery: a seven foot Atlantic sturgeon washed ashore.
The endangered fish was spotted by local resident John Moss, who contacted the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation. State biologists later retrieved the animal and performed a necropsy, collecting samples for ongoing research into the species' age and genetics. The exact cause of death remains unknown.
Atlantic sturgeon are often called "living fossils" because their lineage stretches back more than 100 million years, to the age of the dinosaurs. They can grow well over 10 feet long and are among the largest fish found along the Atlantic coast. ($)
