Where North Fork Parties Begin 🎉

🎉 Party Animal North Fork has everything you need to celebrate in style. From tableware and banners to balloons and party kits, the shop is filled with thoughtfully chosen items, including biodegradable balloons and products from women-owned and veteran-owned brands.

Owned by local moms and interior designers Kathy Cilio and Amanda Giuliano, the store is as beautiful as the events it helps bring to life. They also create custom balloon installations and themed decor kits for any occasion.

Open seven days a week because there's always something to celebrate. Find them in Feather Hill behind Taps and Corks and across from Eastern Sun.

WLNG’s Future 📻

What started as a night of applause for WLNG legends Gary Sapiane and Bill Evans turned into something heavier, a call for help to save the soul of Sag Harbor radio.

WLNG co-owner Sandra Foschi took the mic at a Village Board meeting and dropped a bombshell: the beloved station, on the air since 1963, might not make it another year.

The problem? Towers. Not the kind you climb for the view, the kind that cost millions to replace. The current tower is unsafe and could fall at any moment. Foschi and Evans have already poured personal savings and more than $100,000 in legal fees into trying to fix it, but now they’re out of options, and out of money.

If you’ve driven through Jamesport lately and spotted a fresh coat of paint where Three Sisters Antiques used to be: surprise! That’s Elaine Harris Gallery, the North Fork’s newest art spot.

It’s the dream come true of Kimberly Crumm, a Mattituck painter who named the gallery after her two grandmothers, Elaine Murphy and Eva Harris, the women who first told her to chase creativity instead of cubicles.

Her goal? To give underrepresented artists, especially women, a place to tell their truth.

Kimberly’s first show, “From Grief to Gratitude,” isn’t just paint on canvas, it’s her story. After a long battle with chronic Lyme disease, she poured her recovery (and some literal eggshells) into 13 abstract works representing the seven stages of grief.

Grant and Shuck It 🦪

Big news for our local shellfish heroes, six North Fork oyster farms are splitting $1.2 million in state funding to upgrade their gear.

The Hampton Oyster Company in New Suffolk is using its grant to roll out digital grading tech that automatically sorts oysters by size, shape, and weight.

Other farms reeling in grants include Widow’s Hole Oysters, Cornelius and Little Ram Oyster Co., North Fork Big Oyster, and Spinelli’s Sea Farms.

Another $3 million in aquaculture grants drops November 3, this time for construction and infrastructure upgrades. ($)
