The Future of Art 🎨
The next generation of North Fork artists is stepping into the spotlight! The 2025 Student Exhibition is back, showcasing the boundless creativity of young talent from across the East End — including standout pieces from students right here on the North Fork.
From March 15 through April 27, the Parrish Art Museum will display artwork from students in grades K-12, with each school submitting up to 15 high school pieces and two junior high group projects. It’s a vibrant celebration of youthful expression, where local students’ artistry takes center stage.
The festivities kick off with an Opening Weekend Celebration on this Saturday, March 15, from 11 AM to 4 PM — an inspiring day for students, families, friends, and educators to gather and honor these rising stars.
Whether you're a proud parent, art lover, or just curious to see what the North Fork’s future creatives are crafting, this exhibition is a can’t-miss event. Come out and support the young artists who are shaping the cultural heartbeat of our community! More Info
Oregon Road Project Sparks Action 🚨
Heads up, Southold! The Town Board is holding a public hearing on April 15 at 7 pm to talk about extending the pause on new Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) facilities.
This moratorium started in January 2023 after folks raised concerns about a massive 60-megawatt lithium-ion project planned for Oregon Road in Cutchogue. The extra time would let the town dig deeper into potential risks to public health, safety, and the environment. If you’ve got thoughts, mark your calendar and speak up! ($)

Dog of the week

Some dogs are born explorers. Eclipse? She’s a certified pro at loving her humans. This sweet, easy-going terrier mix is all about the quiet life — slow mornings, lazy weekends, and claiming her rightful spot next to you on the couch.
She’s house-trained, a breeze to walk, and gets along with both people and pups. No need for constant attention or wild playtime — just companionship, loyalty, and lots of love.
Eclipse has been through more than her fair share of change, but she’s still got a heart full of love to give. She sleeps peacefully through the night, greets strangers with curiosity (never sass), and is just grateful to be by your side.
If you’re looking for a four-legged bestie to make your house feel like home — Eclipse is ready. More Info
