Holiday Cheer Starts Here đ
If youâre looking for the North Fork version of the North Pole, youâll find it in Cutchogue at Santaâs Christmas Tree Farm.
28 acres of evergreens and twinkling lights are waiting to turn your weekend into a Hallmark movie. Established in 1979, this place has been growing Christmas memories for generations.
Right now, the Gift Shop is open seven days a week, packed with everything merry and bright, from ornaments and garlands to cozy home dĂŠcor, toys, and gifts thatâll make even the Grinch crack a smile. Whether youâre decking the halls or shopping for someone who already has everything, youâll find a little magic here.
Mark your calendars: November 28th kicks off the official Christmas tree season. Thatâs when the saws start buzzing, the cocoa starts flowing, and the North Fork officially turns into a winter wonderland.

The Lowdown
Clams & Cold Water đ
Last Sunday, a bunch of brave North Forkers swapped their cozy Sunday mornings for paddle boards and cold water to help plant 130,000 baby clams off Cedar Beach.
The North Fork Polar Bears (yep, the cold-plunge crew) teamed up with Cornell Cooperative Extensionâs Back to the Bays program for a restoration mission that proves science and shivers can go hand in hand. Volunteers kayaked out, scattered handfuls of fingernail-sized âCharlie Brown clamsâ and then capped it all off with the seasonâs first icy plunge.
The Polar Bears, once just a crew chasing adrenaline and mental clarity, have evolved into full-blown conservation champs. Theyâve planted eelgrass, built âseahorse hotels,â and raised funds for local nonprofits.

đ Greenportâs Getting Spooky This Saturday, Oct. 25, Greenportâs trading in its seaside charm for something a little more spirited. The Greenport BIDâs 6th Annual Halloween Village is back, and itâs packing a full day of tricks, treats, and just the right amount of terror.
đď¸ The Menhaden Does It Again For the second year in a row, The Menhaden in Greenport has snagged a Michelin Key, one of just 317 hotels in the entire country to earn the honor in 2025. Oh, and itâs still the only one on Long Island.
đŁď¸ Cannabis, Housing, & Hotels The Southold American Legion was packed Monday night, veterans, small business owners, and locals all squeezed in for the North Fork Chamber of Commerceâs âMeet the Candidatesâ forum.
đť WLNGâs Future What started as a night of applause for WLNG legends Gary Sapiane and Bill Evans turned into something heavier, a call for help to save the soul of Sag Harbor radio.

Local Spotlight
Cider, Shells & Cowbells đđŚŞđ
This week on Out East with Doug Geed, NewsdayTVâs favorite explorer of all things East End takes us on a three stop tour: cider, oysters, and cows.
First up, Woodside Orchards, where the air smells like apples and the cider flows like fall itself. Gets a behind the scenes look at how this family-run orchard turns handpicked apples into a refreshing pour.
Then itâs off to the water with Peconic Gold Oysters, where local growers share what it takes to raise and harvest oysters.
And finally, head over to Ty Llywd Farm, one of Long Islandâs oldest dairies, to meet the cows behind that morning glass of milk.

Foodie Friday đ˝
Weâll say it, weekday dinners deserve more love. So this week, weâre shining a (soft, candlelit) spotlight on restaurants offering specials worth planning your week around.
Prix fixe menus thatâll make your date night feel fancy, even if you show up in sneakers, taco nights that turn dinner into a fiesta, pasta nights thatâll make you cancel your carb cleanse, and burger nights that make the weekend start early.
These weekday deals are your official reminder that great meals donât need a dress code or a reason, just an appetite and maybe a good excuse to skip the dishes.
Monday
Ease into the week with a little rhythm and a lot of flavor at the Piano Bar at Sound View. Monday Night Jazz Prixe Fixe, featuring a $55 three-course prix fixe menu that hits all the right notes. As live jazz sets the mood, unwind with a perfectly paced evening of great music and seasonal dishes.
Tuesday
Clear your Tuesday plans A Lure just gave you a better one. The waterfront spot has a $15 mix-and-match taco menu and a $10 margarita menu and yes, itâs exactly as fun as it sounds. Grab a fish taco, a shrimp taco, maybe even a second round (of both). With the bay view and a margarita in hand, youâll forget itâs only Tuesday.
Wednesday
Every Wednesday thru Sunday from 4â6 PM, Demarchelier Bistro is serving up a three-course prix fixe for $40. Add a glass of wine, settle in for some French comfort food, and pretend youâre dining along the Seine. Wednesdays got a whole lot more ooh la la.
Thursday
Thursdays were made for carbs, and A Mano understood the assignment. Every week they serve up Pasta Night, featuring a two-course dinner for $34.95. Why wait for Saturday to treat yourself? A Manoâs pasta night is proof that lifeâs little celebrations taste best when served al dente.
Friday
Fridays are for burgers, beers, and good times, and Ellenâs on Front has all three covered. Their Friday Night Burger & Beer Night is the perfect excuse to clock out and head to Greenport. For $18, grab a draft beer and sink your teeth into the Ellenâs Burger. Sometimes the best meals donât need frills, just a toasted bun, and an ice-cold beer.
Bonus: Sunday
Sundays are made for slowing down, and Love Lane Kitchen knows exactly how to do it. Serving up Saucy Sundays, featuring your choice of Linguini & Meatballs, Penne in Exotic Mushroom Cream Sauce, or Farfalle with Pesto & Fresh Burrata, each with a fresh side salad and warm Italian bread for $35. Itâs the perfect way to wrap up the weekend.

Nothing in this section is sponsored. Theyâre just fun things you need to know. Iâll always let you know when something is sponsored
