Holiday Cheer Starts Here 🎄

If you’re looking for the North Fork version of the North Pole, you’ll find it in Cutchogue at Santa’s Christmas Tree Farm.

28 acres of evergreens and twinkling lights are waiting to turn your weekend into a Hallmark movie. Established in 1979, this place has been growing Christmas memories for generations.

The Gift Shop is open 7 days a week from 9–6, packed with everything merry and bright: ornaments, garlands, cozy dĂ©cor, toys, and gifts that’ll even make the Grinch crack a smile. Whether you’re decking the halls or shopping for someone who already has everything, you’ll find a little magic here.

Santa is officially in residence at the farm every Saturday and Sunday. Check Instagram for times as they vary by weekend.

Pre-cut and fresh-cut trees available 7 days a week.

There’s a full lineup of activities all season long from bouncy houses to barrel rides. Head to their Instagram for the complete activity breakdown and start planning your holiday fun.

The Lowdown

Greenport Basketball Is Back 🏀

The Porters are hitting the court this winter with a brand new look, mostly because last year’s superstar squad graduated and took about 50 points per game with them.

More than 75% of the team is brand new to the big stage. They’re young, hungry, and apparently allergic to backing down.

Greenport and Southold are just eight minutes apart, and after the Porters beat the Settlers three times last season, let’s just say the rematch energy is already spicy. ($)

WWII Holiday Magic 🎭

Boots on the Ground Theater is lighting up the season with World War II Radio Christmas Play. It’s directed by the North Fork based actor, director, and playwright James Pritchard.

This radio studio turned stage show runs Dec. 5–14 at the Southampton Cultural Center and pairs perfectly with the Southampton History Museum’s exhibition Homefront to Battlefront: Southampton During WWII. Real veteran stories, 1940s holiday songs, and enough nostalgia to make you believe Frank Sinatra is about to walk in mid-show.

Holiday Wreath Party 🎉

Backyard Blooms is taking over The Treatery on Monday, Dec. 8, for a hand-tied wreath workshop that basically guarantees your front door will become the envy of the neighborhood.

You’ll build your wreath from scratch, with lush evergreens, pretty little accents, and a bow that makes you look way more crafty than you actually are. The Backyard Blooms floral team will walk you through every step, so no experience required.

All supplies are included, but registration closes Saturday, Dec. 6, and these spots disappear faster than gingerbread.

Foodie Friday đŸœ

The other night we dropped into Little Fish to check out their prix fixe menu that they debuted for Restaurant Week and then quietly
didn’t remove. Why? Because when something is that good, you don’t take it off the menu. You protect it. You cherish it. You tell your friends (hi, that’s us).

It’s a three course prix fixe for $46, and you can snag it Sundays and Mondays. Perfect for those nights when you’re wondering where you can actually get a bite to eat.

Lets talk highlights:

Appetizers

đŸ„Ź Charred Lemon Caesar Salad A dish that somehow manages to steal the spotlight from everything else on the table. The charred lemon adds a smoky brightness that cuts through the creamy dressing like a dream. Toss in the croissant croutons and you’ve got what might just be the best Caesar salad on the North Fork.

🍗 Sweet Mustard & Habanero Wings These wings are dangerously easy to love. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with that perfect sweet heat combo you chase. The mustard brings the tang, the habanero brings the fire, and together they meet in the middle (Not too spicy, not too sweet) like they’ve been best friends since kindergarten. We could honestly keep eating these forever.

Entrees

🍖 Âœ Rack Hot Honey Jerk Ribs These ribs hit every note you want: sticky, smoky, and tender. The ribs fall off the bone but still have that perfect charred edge that makes you want to lick your fingers in public. The creamy coleslaw is the perfect sidekick cool, crunchy, and exactly what you want between bites of rich, saucy ribs. And don’t even get us started on the cornbread shaped like a fish. It’s whimsical, it’s delicious, and when you swipe it through that honey butter, it becomes its own little moment of joy.

🐟 Monkfish Tikka Masala The fresh local fish holds its own in a homemade tikka masala sauce that’s creamy, cozy, and spiced just right. Add in seasonal veg, a scoop of fluffy rice, and a cool mint raita, and you’ve got a plate that feels both familiar and totally new. It’s warm, bold, a little unexpected, and exactly the kind of thing you order once and then talk about for three days.

Dessert

đŸ„§ Key Lime Pie It’s bright, tangy, and just sweet enough to keep you chasing the next forkful. The filling lands that perfect limey zing, refreshing without veering into sour face emoji territory, The graham cracker crust holds it all together. Add the soft cloud of whipped cream on top and suddenly you’re wondering why you ever order any other dessert.

đŸ„ź Burnt Basque Cheesecake No crust. No garnish. Just a beautifully torched top that’s all caramelized and a center that’s creamy, custardy, and somehow still light. The flavor hits you in waves, a little smoky from that signature char, a little tangy in the middle. It’s like if crĂšme brĂ»lĂ©e and cheesecake had a Spanish love child. If you’re into desserts that are bold, elegant, and maybe just a little extra this one’s for you.

If you end up checking out the Prix Fixe tell the Little Fish team you heard about it in The Buzz. Then send us an email at [email protected] and tell us everything you got.
